ASUS MEMO PAD WISE CHOICE TABLET

ASUS MEMO PAD HD 7, A Wise Choice and even Edges out Samsung Tab 3
The Asus Memo Pad HD 7 is rated highly due to a number of advantages it offers. To begin with, the tablet’s speed is fast and smooth as it runs through a 1.2 ghz quadcore processor which makes it a good companion for internet surfing and using multiple apps. It can even play games that demand high memory and processing speed like the NBA 2k14. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera that produces high quality pictures and videos (1080 video).
When compared to the Samsung Tab 3 which is of the same price range (around P9000), the Memo Pad is able to rise above in a number of aspects. In terms of viewing experience, this Asus Tablet edges out the competition because of its IPS panel that has higher density and pixel at 1280 x 800 compared to Samsung’s TFT Panel that only exudes 1024 x 600 pixel. Although they both have a 7 inch screen, the Memo Pad’s IPS panel means its screen still doesn’t blur even if it is tilted in different angles. The screen resolution of the HD Memo Pad turns you on, while the Tab 3 does not.

The speed of the Memo Pad is higher if you go by specs as it runs on a Quadcore 1.2 GHz CPU and 1 GB of ram while the Tab 3 has only a Dual Core 1.2 GHz CPU and 1 GB ram. One bright spot for Samsung is, when you navigate both tablets at the same time, Samsung’s dual core actually goes neck to neck with the Memo Pad.
As mentioned before, the Memo Pad has a 5-mega pixel rear camera which is higher than Tab 3’s 3 mega pixel. Both of them have a front facing camera that is ideal for webcam conversations, selfies, and mirroring. Both tablets bring out loud-enough sound in stereo mode, but the Memo Pad’s loud audio option is customizable through its audio wizard. Both have 3.5 mm earphone slots for listening in privacy. Both tabs have variations of 8 gig and 16 gig internal memory and have memory expansion card slots.
Lastly, in terms of battery life, the Memo Pad claims it can be used for 10-long hours when it is fairly new. Samsung on the other hand has about 8 hours of batt life. Although in real everyday usage when these gadgets are already running plenty of apps and games, and connecting to the internet through wifi, the actual batt power decreases down to 5 hours or even lesser with gadget-aging and heavy use.
Because of its superior brand recall, the Samsung Tab 3, is mostly priced higher than Asus Memo Pad, but when it comes to specs and performance, the Memo Pad is an obviously wiser choice.
