Hi-Sense Overhead Bluetooth Stereo Headset

The HB440H HiSense Bluetooth headset is packed with good sound quality comparable to high end and expensive headsets distributed by Philips, Marshall, and Seinheiser.

I chose this overhead type of headset over other Hi-Sense corded headset and Marshall’s 5k-worth headset because one, it is Bluetooth so it gives me hands-free and wireless comfort. Two, headset wires get loose and get damaged easily. Three, the sound is way better than the proliferating Nokia BH-series Bluetooth headsets worth 1K, more or less. Although, Nokia’s Bluetooth types are three times cheaper, this HiSense headset (3K) packs more defined, cleaner, and brighter treble and thicker and bigger bass yet it doesn’t sound too ear-splitting even at max volume.

This Hi-Sense audio-accessory is a stereo-type headset which means it has two earpieces meant not just for hearing cell phone conversations but also for listening media files, like MP3, MP4 and other video types. It has a touch control pad in its right ear cup which has the buttons for going to the next and previous track, going low and high volume, and pausing and playing music. Its rubber-covered metal headband is lightweight and adjustable but not foldable.

If you are someone willing to give up the wireless ease in headsets, you can find a Marshall corded headset. The sound is even more defined and ear-friendly even at super high volume, almost comparable to Beats’ studio-quality sound.

LOVING SAMSUNG'S TV PHONE

Samsung's Star TV (S5233T) is the real deal when it comes to TV and phone convergence.

I could say that matter of factly because I have tried several TV phones out of necessity. I am someone whose travels from home to work and business, my friends' house and my favorite malls take more than an hour. More than one hour on the road, yes!!! Without a TV phone that means I could miss my favorite TV shows if they air at a time that I have to commute.

BATTERY LIFE: The first edge of Star TV over China-made ones that proliferate today and a few other TV phone brands is its longer battery life. Its battery can last two hours of straight TV viewing. If you don't use TV, battery does not go empty up to 2 days if fully charged.

SIGNAL/RECEPTION: Mobile TV viewing is better experienced with Star TV because it has stronger signal or reception. Using its antennae is just optional for best viewing especially on enclosed areas such as malls, workplaces, and on-the-move vehicles. Other brands will just be full of static when you're inside a building.

RECORDING CAPABILITY/CAPACITY: Depending on how much memory is left on its Micro SD, it can record an entire TV program. I have recorded one whole episode of Bubble Gang, a Fiba Basketball game featuring Team USA, Glee's first Season 2 episode featuring Charice Pempengco. A 10-minute record would consume 30-35 MB. My friends would sometimes text me to record for them when they can't have access to TV but don't want to miss a TV show. S5233T can be expanded or read up to 8G Micro SD.

PHONE FUNCTIONS: Some other brands do have good TV signal but have messed up essential phone features such as low earpiece and headset volume, malfunctioning touch screen, troublesome texting interface, among other things. Star TV is a sigh of relief in all these aspects. Its touchscreen feature works well and texting on it is very effortless. The TV, radio, and MP3 sound loud and clean when headset is on.
