BICOL EXPRESS!!!

Bicol is a 12-hr drive from Manila, but it's worth all that wait and travel pains in the back, leg, wherever.

Bicol is not just a rural, fishing and farming province but also has an urbanized city in Legaspi, where there's a good-size and stylish mall called Embarcadero. This one is a must-see landmark. One side of the mall is adjacent to a sea port. You can just extend your feet or hand to touch the sea water from one of the beer and cafe lounges.

The Mayon Volcano remains the topmost attraction in Bicol. It can be viewed from Legaspi villages and nearby cities. A famous nature park called Lignon Hill provides a closer viewing spot of the Mayon Volcano and a bird's eye view of Bicol's urban areas.

The province is building another port in a town called Nag-aso, where there is a really hot lake where you can submerge and boil eggs or meats. The said lake has been featured in Korina Sanches' Rated K.

On a last note, herein street dancing -_ in traditional makeshift set up such as wires and coconut leaves strewn on wood  pillars -- is still being done during Fiestas.
